I love this concept, and I hope it plays out in theory for all of us. I enjoyed the author's podcast interview, though I found it interesting that she claims men treat us with more respect in midlife because we're no longer perceived as sexually attractive to them. Most of my clients have had the opposite experience, which is that many men automatically disrespect them for that reason. Conversely, many of my older European clients and friends are more attractive to men after a certain age, which can lead to its own problems. SO much tsuris, when all we want is the respect we deserve!

I love the idea that my brain isn't broken. It's "reshaped, for the better, in a way that creates new power, a bracing clarity, and a laser-like sense of purpose if you know how to seize it." YES!! Adding this book to my read (or listen to) list. xo
