That's strange--the ACA plans--most of which are self-pay--should have been an option??? Thanks so much for calling out, Kris! :) Will check with folks and see how we can clarify.
Sorry! The current book is I'm Mostly Here to Enjoy Myself! But we STILL need to have Deanna Raybourn come and do a zoom with us about Killers of a Certain Age... I am on the project! That book has so much great Stevie Nix energy :)
Wait, which one Deanna's??? It didn't have great critical acclaim--it's true, but it was the one everyone voted for by the time the poll closed--so I was trying to respect the community? It's really tough to write a commercial book, so who knows what more nuanced choices were cut by her editors? I know Glynnis's book got very strong support by NYC critics when it came out, but I wonder if its eclectic format was not welcomed by everyday readers. I was conducting my own misguided attempt to "enjoy myself" for a week before coming home to embark on the eldercare sandwich, lol. I'm happy for us to choose a new book if people think this one's not worth the time. Tamsin Fadal's HOW TO MENOPAUSE is out and she is on our board. Just let me know... I'm here. xo
So looking forward to our event and enjoyed "I'm Mostly Here to Enjoy Myself"! xx
Survey done but wanted to point out that self paid insurance is not one of the insurance options.

I put it on one of the additional comments in one of the questions.
Sorry. Confused. Which is the chosen book?β Iβm Mostly Here to Enjoy Myself or Killers of a Certain Age?

It doesnβt have great reviews. Curious why you chose this book.

Glynnisβ book had some yucky reviews on Amazon. If everyone chose then stick with it.
Ah... I get it, now. We can move swiftly through it and I'll post a new poll.
Survey done!
