Lovely ode to empress Sinead. The unbearable weight of complex PTSD and losing her son-- she is with him now. In peace.

Oh, and you’re gorgeous with or without Dew.

Here's to truth-teller warrior women. May we reign (a tip of the hat to your new logo). I am getting a greater appreciation for Sinead O'Connor now. I was too busy and self-absorbed in life and raising kids when she was doing her thing. It really gives me pause. The feeling of not wanting to be here when you're not appreciated or understood. Ouch. That's too relatable.

I'm sorry you have had a tough week. Thinking of you and hoping for better days ahead. Also, you look beautiful in both pictures - dew or no!

THANK YOU for calling out the shitty, sexist coverage of Sinead and contextualizing it so crisply. And fuck that guy who tried to shame you for The Empress. For what it's worth, in my experience men who refer to older women as "jaded" (or crazy, or high-maintenance or just old) are terrified by the loss of their own youthfulness and virility. It's 100% projection, and IMHO should be treated as such.

Always on the pod :) And can you believe some of the obits persisted in their negativity? Honestly. People are too much.

Hey Morning! Thanks for all the kind words! And CONGRATS to YOU and WOMANCAKE for all the recent traction! HUZZAH! When that fellow started trying to make me doubt myself, I was like that little kid back in woods again, and I thought... I know the way home here, mister. Plus, a really smart therapist said to me once, people love to show you THEIR movie of your life... if you don't like it, you can just slip back into the projectionist booth and change up the reels. I've decided I'll take that scene from THE THIN MAN where she comes crashing into The Ritz with Asta, happy as ever to have witty banter with William Powell :) + a whole lot of MGM musicals to follow!

Losing a child is so unimaginable. I wish her a sweet reunion. And The Dew stuff DOES stuff... lol, shockingly... Again, I am grateful for no acne and the support of great friends like you! xo

Ha... I was SO tired w/ my pops. And yeah, we need to support women. I'm working on getting discounts for Empress readers on things like virtual mental health services and meditation apps and RX services... it just takes me outreach time and vetting. It has to be easy, Dr-backed, and the customer service has to be super available for idiots... like me, lol.
