Hey, Amy! It's looks like an amazing lineup in Chicago on the 19th! I was at the dentist all day--one of the joys of midlife--so just catching back up--but will be amplifying across all the socials and can't wait to pipe in that day!!!
Sorry this is so late, I just woke up from a marathon day at the dentist. I cracked eight molars during my big seizure last year and am finally able to get them fixed. Wicked ouchy. But here's the thing... I just love it when amazing women find each other. I saw this headline fly by this past week for a video from this very young girl who was applauding Marc Andreessen (who has mostly zero compassion as a person)... I think the exact title was "Substack isn't an f*ing sorority!" and I thought, "Well, maybe not, but can't it be a really good tribe for those who want that?" And so I say, "Huzzah!" for when we find each each other. :) I think the world of both of you!
I so agree. I saw that quote, too, and thought this: Well, maybe not, but I've made true literary connections here, you being one of them, Susan another as a reader and the discovery of her new business that I wouldn't have known about otherwise, let alone who she was. So, I say "Huzzah!" for finding both of you and you two finding me.
This is so important! I’ve been reading a lot about the skin biome and started formulating a hyaluronic serum with cosmetic grade kombucha earlier this year and am loooooooving it. Not trying to make a product placement here but I couldn’t resist responding! Women are way over-cleansed and over-product’ed. It’s nice to see this topic is finally getting some attention
So, you're probably already asleep... I actually just woke up from a mammoth visit to the dentist today. Last November, when I had my big seizure at home alone in SF, I broke like... eight of my teeth...my dad's dentist just fixed them so that I am no longer in constant pain... but one of the things I read when I was working on this post this past week is that you need to use skincare products that deliver healthy probiotics... which I'd never heard of before. So, cosmetic grade kombucha makes total sense to me now. Yay! So, I want to try this for sure!
Haha, top secret! (Not really, I can share the ingredients with you if you DM me.) But here’s where I sell it if you don’t want to make it. It’s the product called Bio Fluf. Face Fluf is a little small batch skin care line I started a year ago.
Super interesting stuff! And thank you for spreading the word about F#ck Middle Age: A Day in The Midst.

I love Susan Campbell and send my congrats and much appreciation for the advice about over cleansing! Who knew? Now I do!

Thank you Mary! So glad to be of service!
OMG! The gut biome too!
Yes - the gut biome is so important as well!

That's so exciting! Congrats on getting a product to market. So glad you shared it here, and I wish you all the best with your serum!
And Susan, chiming in here, I’d love to try your product as well! Where can I find it?
Chiming in here ... It's at https://www.phosis.com/ :)
Ah! Never mind, I’m seeing the link to Phosis in Alisa’s original post.:)
Thank you Susan!
Recipe please?

This is amazing!
Any gluten, soy or corn product in it?
Nope! And I grow my own calendula for the infusions.
I love your side biz. ❤️
