This week’s got me thinking about the nature of time.
“Kairos” is what many philosophers and mystics refer to as the right, critical, opportune time to go deep.
But what of “deep time”? The time when the world seems to stop entirely—when it can only be measured in deep exhales, a long, shared cackle, or a vibrantly hued sunset. Kairos is Empress time. Kairos is Empress Ease.
“Chronos” is linear, progressive time, clock-ticking time, tomato-rotting pomodoro method productive time. In Greek mythology viewed as a destructive, all-devouring force. But also structured… not the plate of spaghetti a toddler drops on the floor.
